Sometimes monsters are invisible, andsometimes demons attack you from the inside.Just because you cannot see the claws and the teethdoes not mean they aren’t ripping through me.Pain does not need to be seen to be felt.
For someone with one of the “hidden” chronic illnesses, you certainly have heard at least a few times in your life “You don’t look like there’s anything wrong with you.” Or, “All you have to do is take this magic elixir and you be 100% well and feel like you did when you were in your 20s.” Am I right? So often those of us who have some sort of medical challenge run into people in the health and wellness field that sell programs, powders, solutions that are “guaranteed” to make you well again. They quote statistics and recommendations by well known sports stars or doctors in a field (usually ones that have some vested interest in what is being sold). They very well may believe totally in what they are selling, but when dealing with people who have medical issues, those tools and strategies may not work in the way they are supposed to.
According to today’s guest, Lyn Lindbergh, the owner of the health organization and book from Couch to Active, there is still hope for those who have the daily battle of pain.
You're not alone but it feels alone and how do you do all that? And really, we could only do what we can do today, right? We really only have each moment of each day. Your biggest work is kind of figuring out like, what kind of mental and emotional energy do you have in this moment to do what you can with the resources you have today? And then leaving the rest of that mental emotional energy if there's any left to what can I do to show compassion to myself? To not fight against my reality, not think of myself as a mistake or think of myself as a failure or think of myself as less than.
Listen in to this fascinating chat on health, wellness, personal and business. Then see if there might be, just might be a light at the end of the tunnel.

According to the Cleveland Clinic “Environmental toxins are all around us. From the food we eat and water we drink to the products and energy we consume. Toxins have been found in beauty products, household cleaners, carpets, furniture, mattresses, house dust―and even in foods and products from natural sources. Being surrounded by chemicals on a daily basis can have some harmful effects on your health. However, there are steps you can take to avoid undue toxins as well as make proper choices that can minimize your exposure to these toxins.”
They aren’t the only ones saying this. Our guest today, Cheryl Meyer is an award winning author, international best seller, health coach, speaker, local TV host and guest podcaster. "There is a powerful driving force inside every human being that, once unleashed, can make any vision, dream, or desire a reality."
-- Anthony Robbins
Failure, persistence and success. At least one of those three words we like to hear, right? No one wants to have failure in their lives, and persistence denotes hard work. But success – everyone wants to have success in their lives. What we don’t realize though is that without the first two you are very unlikely to truly get to that third on the list. It takes time, it takes little successes, little failures, more successes (in other words, persistence) and eventually you will get to that big SUCCESS.
If you think that with anything you're doing, you're gonna be good enough the first time, whether it's writing books, playing basketball, speaking, podcasting, if you think you're going to be good enough the first time, you should quit that and go try something else. The reality is, you're gonna stink, you're going to get knocked down and because of that, you're going to be so much better and stronger.
Inspiration, motivation, and the knowledge that (according to Ringo Starr)
“Got to pay your dues if you wanna sing the bluesAnd you know it don't come easy”
This is information that we all need to consider, think about and implement. Whether it’s in our personal or our business lives, we need to be able to take our time, pay our dues and eventually our worlds will get easier. Listen in to Nancy and Dominick Domasky’s conversation to get some fascinating ideas and suggestions on how to do this.

Episode 53: Leaders Lead with Adam Mutschler
Thursday Mar 12, 2020
Thursday Mar 12, 2020
"You are the reason of your own good-luck and bad-luck; success and failure; happiness and pain. Your choices are responsible for your present. Don't blame someone else for your sufferings or failures." ― Sanjeev Himachali
According to today’s guest, Adam Mutschler, it is really important to have leadership and accountability – both of which lead to resilience; something that people with disabilities and chronic illness have in abundance. That’s number one thing that you need to have both as someone in the business world and someone with health issues.
However, it is also important that you take responsibility for your own decisions. Not only do you need to be accountable but in order to be a good leader, you need to take responsibility for what you do, but to show that others have to be responsible and accountable for their own actions as well.

Episode 51: Health Insurance Reassurance with Lorena Tomasini
Thursday Feb 27, 2020
Thursday Feb 27, 2020
Did you know that as someone with pre-existing conditions, you can get health insurance at a reasonable rate? You just have to do a bit of research and question insurance brokers to find the right one. This is a very interesting discussion because I know that many people with chronic illness don’t have, and don’t think they can get, either health insurance or life insurance. That can be a big drain on our emotions and our health when it costs thousands of dollars for our medications, hospitals are out of the question and on and on. But wouldn’t it be nice to know that there’s something that can be done to alleviate those worries?
Our chat today is with Lorena Tomasini, a licensed insurance broker who has great information for us on what to do and how to take at least these strains off our concern lists!!!! Listen in as we settle down to learn about the reasons for insurance.

Episode 50: Health, Wellness and Business Growth with Dane Dormio
Thursday Feb 20, 2020
Thursday Feb 20, 2020
“To keep the body in good health is a duty… Otherwise we shall not be able to keep our mind strong and clear.” ~ BuddhaIn today’s episode, Dane Dormio of MindBody Mastery, talks with us about why we need to keep our minds and bodies healthy in order to have successful lives and businesses. Why is this important?1. When we allow ourselves to get out of step with our bodies needs, we find ourselves dragging, no energy, our brains become sluggish and it’s a chore to even move one foot in front of the other.2. As business owners and entrepreneurs, we need to be on our toes. We are always battling unforeseen obstacles, the ever changing processes and strategies that make our companies move ahead – without our health that becomes very difficult.3. Life is full of ups and downs. When we do simple things like meditate for 5 minutes a day we can start out calmer, more in control and less stressed out.If you have questions or would like to take a free health assessment, you can reach Dane by connecting with him on Facebook.

Episode 49: Step by Step Roadmap to Business Growth with Paul Maskill
Thursday Feb 13, 2020
Thursday Feb 13, 2020
“Without continual growth and progress, such words as improvement, achievement, and success have no meaning. “– Benjamin Franklin
When we start our own businesses, it is usually just us. We are a one-person, “get R done”, continual motion creation that works non-stop to do everything required to make the business successful. But then, as we start to grow, it becomes harder and harder.
For our guest Paul Maskill, it was like “Yeah, it is so important to build a business that can thrive without you because you never know what's going to happen. For me, it was asking myself the question, what happens if I got hit by a bus? And the answer was not good because I was the sole responsible person for the success of the business.” He realized that if he was going to make his business sustainable, he was going to have to make some changes – things that would allow him to keep the doors open, the money coming in – even if he weren’t there.
Today’s conversation is all about the different ways to automate processes, what that means and how to best figure out what is right for you. Listen in as we chat with Paul Maskill.
